This phase (based on a commercial Joomla template) includes concept development, design and layout for the website. The structure and hierarchy of the site will be based on client-provided information, with feedback and direction from Design Firm when creating site architecture.
In full consultation with Client, Design Firm will develop design elements, create the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and combine text, graphics, photos and other elements into the web pages to ensure a look and feel that reflects Client’s professionalism, experience and reputation as a leader in its industry. The design of the site will be consistent with and compliment Client’s existing brand imagery and marketing materials.
Client will provide all artwork, illustrations, photographs, logos, etc. (suggested formats: GIF, EPS, JPEG, PNG, PSD). Images will be clearly marked as to where they should be positioned on the site. All stock photography/illustration fees are the responsibility of the client and are not included in the budget. Obtaining any/all usage rights for stock work is the responsibility of the client.
Two rounds of revisions are included to create the look and feel that is desired. Further revisions will be billed at Design Firm's normal hourly rate of $95.
Upon Client’s approval of the initial prototype and receipt of the necessary assets (including but not limited to text and visual elements) from Client, Design Firm shall create a fully functional website.
- Slicing and optimizing graphics
- Creating HTML templates and pages
- Implementing light scripting (CSS, jQuery, HTML5)
The website shall be provided in a Beta version to Client within 5-7 days of Client’s approval of the prototype.
During this phase, Client will provide all text content in electronic format. Video and audio material will be provided in digital format, ready for online use. Production and schedule are based on receiving all content by a targeted date specified elsewhere in writing. Late delivery will directly impact budget and schedule.
Production of the site includes creation and optimization of all files/images and HTML coding. The site will be created to exist on a Linux server and will be compliant with popular browsers for both Macintosh and Personal Computer (PC).
Any and all assets that Client is to supply for the website shall be delivered to Design Firm in electronic format (delivered on removable storage media or transmitted via the Internet), and such supplied assets shall be in final form and ready for website use. Client shall proofread and edit such assets prior to delivery to Design Firm and any additional work due to corrections of such assets, file conversion or scanning of text or images shall be billed additionally.

- JCE Editor
- RS Firewall (optional)
- Title Manager
All commercial Joomla components will be purchased by Client.
During this phase, debugged site is ready for launch.
Design Firm will test for usability and will run quality assurance testing and debug the site. Design Firm shall make any corrections and upload or deliver the final version of the website within 3-5 days of receipt of Client’s corrections. Design Firm warrants the website to be defect-free upon delivery. Any website defects detected will be corrected for 30 days from acceptance.
Post Launch Training
Joomla training (1 hour) will be provided to Client via telephone/Skype.
Additional training will be billed at our normal hourly rate of $95.
